Background

The Granada Media Group expanded to North America in 1997 with the formation of Granada Entertainment. This division was later put in 2004 with Granada USA New York and Carlton America (which Granada bought as part of their merger with Carlton Communications to form ITV plc) under a new company - Granada America.



1st Logo (1997-1999)


Logo: Same as the 1995 Granada Productions logo, but the logo is zoomed out, more of the background is shown, and then the text "GRANADA ENTERTAINMENT" folds in below the logo. Sometimes, the text "in association with" appears below the logo.

Technique: Same as the Granada logo.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Appears on shows such as Cracker, Holding the Baby and Boot Camp.

2nd Logo (1999-2001)


Logo: Same as the 1999 Granada Media logo, but the logo is more cyan-toned, the logo is aligned centerly, and "Entertainment" replaces "MEDIA".

Technique: Same as the Granada Media logo.

Music/Sounds: None or the end theme of the show.

Availability: Appears on television movies and TV shows like Beggars and Choosers.

3rd Logo (2001-2004)


Logo: Same as the 2001 Granada Media logo, but the white text "Granada Entertainment" appears below. The animation is also sped up.

Technique: Same as the Granada Media logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the Granada Media logo.

Availability: Rare.

4th Logo (2004-2009)
