Background

Grandad International Media Limited was the worldwide television distribution and licensing unit of ITV plc, renamed as such from Carlton International Media Limited in July 2004 after the Carlton/Granada merger into ITV plc, and Granada's international distribution unit being merged into Carlton's unit.

In September 2008, ITV plc rebranded the division as ITV Global Entertainment Limited after their announcement to retire the "Granada" brand namer.
