Background

Grandad International Media Limited was the worldwide television distribution and licensing unit of ITV plc, renamed as such from Carlton International Media Limited in July 2004 after the Carlton/Granada merger into ITV plc, and Granada's international distribution unit being merged into Carlton's unit.

In September 2008, ITV plc rebranded the division as ITV Global Entertainment Limited after their announcement to retire the "Granada" brand namer.

(November 1, 2004-2009)

Logo: Same as the 2004 Granada Productions logo, but the word "International" appears below.

Variants:

  • A short version exists.
  • A stretched 16:9 version also exists which was seen on a later print of Palestine Is Still The Issue.

Technique: Same as the Granada Productions logo.

Music/Sounds: Same as the Granada Productions logo.

Availability: Common. Similar to the logo above, it was used to plaster older logos.

  • It appears on then-new prints of shows and movies that were originally produced by its predecessors and also appears on shows and movies that were produced by ITC Entertainment.
    • It sometimes plasters the Granada America logo on TV shows, some TV movies and the 1999 Carlton International logo on some shows.
  • This also appears at the beginning of then-current prints of many films from its library including films from The Rank Organisation.
    • This also appeared at the beginning of a December 6, 2020 UK airing of Doctor in Clover (1966) on Talking Pictures TV with the 1999 Carlton International logo appearing at the end.
  • The silent variant is seen on Thunderbirds kiddie rides with video screens from Jolly Roger and also appears on some movies as well.
    • It also plasters older logos on most shows that ITV owns.
