Background

Granada Kids (formerly Granada Media Children's) was a subsidiary of Granada Media Group to produce children's shows.

Granada Media Children's

Logo (1999-2002?)

Visuals: On a majorelle yellow background, there is a Granada Media "G" symbol in purple/blue on a yellow circle, with "GRANADA MEDIA CHILDREN'S" below in blue.

Variants:

  • The circle would sometimes be stretched, making a capsule, with purple/blue half on the right and many different ITV region logos on the blue/purple piece in yellow (Yorkshire, Meridian, Granada, LWT, etc.)
  • On Sooty Heights, the capsule swapped colours with the Sooty Films logo on the purple/blue piece, with "A SOOTY FILMS PRODUCTION FOR GRANADA MEDIA CHILDREN'S".

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme or none.

Availability: Seen on shows by the company, such as My Parents Are Aliens and Sooty.

  • However, on the My Parents Are Aliens: The Best Of DVD release from Right Entertainment and the single-disc compilations of Series 1 and 2, the logo is removed, so a black screen appears after the credits instead.
