Logo descriptions by SnowflakesOmega

(1990s)

Nicknames: "Getting Sucked Into The Blue Hole", "MGM/UA Communications In Space... Almost", "MGM/UA Communications In the Lensman Universe", "Cheesy Cinematown", "The Lensman Logo", "The Collision of Lensman and MGM/UA"

Logo: We see a blue wireframe graphic of a vortex. We spin and look down, and then we fade to a blue light tunnel from the opening to Lensman: Secret of the Lens. Then we fade into space, with giant shining stars zooming in (also taken, again, from Lensman: Secret of the Lens), and a spinning globe (with the lands colored tan) zooms in. The globe stops, and a red square logo shoots in from Korea, and moves to the bottom-left corner. The logo then zooms back to reveal itself, showing a huge Korean letter. The orange-ish "CINEMATOWN" fades in below, then flips up to change into the Korean name, which shines in blue. The Earth stops spinning.

FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds: An ominous synth theme on the 1st half, then the MGM/UA Communications theme plays, followed by the tail end of the United Artists "Swoosh" theme.

Availability: Seen on tapes released by them.
