Background

Harkins Theatres is an American movie theater chain with locations throughout the Southwestern United States. Harkins Theatres is privately owned and operated by its parent company, Harkins Enterprises, LLC. The company currently operates 31 theaters with 487 screens throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, and Oklahoma. According to Box-office Pro, among the "Giants of Exhibition" it is the 7th largest movie theatre circuit in North America.

1st Logo (1995-1998)


Visuals: A short film featuring several News 12 staff and other patrons preparing to enjoy a Harkins feature, explaining various cinema policies throughout.

2nd Logo (1998-2000)


Visuals: We open on a grassy field dotted with mountains, which quickly dissolves into a rotating film reel. A series a blue and purple lights shoot out of the reel as it turns on its side.
