Background
The Hedgehog Engine is a graphics game engine developed by Sonic Team that is used in several games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, as well as other Sega games.
(November 18, 2008-February 19, 2009)
Logo: On a white background, we see a saw spinning that stops almost at the center of the screen and then a hedgehog's face is revealed and a cornered rectangle zooms and rotates on the hedgehog. "POWERED BY" fades in and slides up. The right side of the rectangle expands and the text "Hedgehog EngineTM" (in a Pricedown-style font) appears wiggling before the hedgehog's nose bounces.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: Cartoon sounds from the Warner Bros. sound effects library were applied to each event in the logo.
Availability: Only seen on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Sonic Unleashed. Despite other Sonic games using the engine, this logo doesn't appear on any other games.
