Background

The Hedgehog Engine is a graphics game engine developed by Sonic Team that is used in several games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, as well as other Sega games.

(November 20, 2008)

Logo: On a white background, we see a saw spinning that stops almost at the center of the screen and then a hedgehog's face is revealed and a cornered rectangle zooms and rotates on the hedgehog. "POWERED BY" fades in and slides up. The right side of the rectangle expands and the text "Hedgehog EngineTM" appears wiggling before the hedgehog's nose bounces.

FX/SFX: The hedgehog saw spinning.

Music/Sounds: Cartoon sounds from the Warner Bros. sound effects library were applied to each event in the logo.

Availability: Only seen on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Sonic Unleashed. Despite other Sonic games using the engine, this logo doesn't appear on any other games.
