Nicknames: "Lo-Tech", "Lo-Tech Video"
Logo: On a black background, we see "Hi-Tech" in a stylized, multicolored font consisting of the colors blue, yellow, pink, red, and purple zoom in to the center of the screen, leaving a shadow trail in the process. The "Hi-Tech" turns red, and "VIDEO" in a different font but using the same colors zooms out from the bottom of the screen, leaving a shadow trail as well. The "VIDEO" turns golden yellow, and a cerulean blue laurel wreath is "drawn" around the words. Once it's drawn, the wreath "flashes" at the screen using the trail effect.
FX/SFX: The zooming, the trail, and the "drawing."
Music/Sounds: A bombastic orchestral fanfare with horns and screeching flutes, which is part of "Gayane Suite" by Soviet-Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian.
Availability: Check Greek SECAM tapes from the 1980s for this logo (of course, since sometime in the '90s, Greece uses PAL).
Editor’s Note: For a company called "Hi-Tech", the 60s-esque animation and film quality sure seem anything but. This logo has also scared some people, due to the flashing, gaudiness, and fanfare.
