Background

This is Frank Mancuso Jr.'s production company.

1st Logo (October 3, 1987-July 30, 1988)

Logo: On a white background, we see a silver-outlined blue sign. On the sign is the words in silver lettering:

HOMETOWN
F I L M S

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme.

Availability: Seen on the first season of Friday the 13th: The Series.

2nd Logo (September 30, 1988-June 17, 1989)

Logo: We see the same sign from the previous logo, but with a city, a church, and even some houses. The sign then "flashes".

Technique: Appears to be a combo of model work and computer animation.

Music/Sounds:

  • Episode 1: The closing theme plays.
  • Rest of the season: We hear a dramatic 9-note tune with a ding at the end.

Availability: Seen on the second season of Friday the 13th: The Series.

3rd Logo (October 7, 1989-May 26, 1990)

Logo: We see a video of a city, with a sign. The camera pans to the sign, which is revealed to be the Hometown Films sign, done in CGI.

Technique: A combo of live-action and CGI.

Music/Sounds:

  • Episodes 1-8: Same as the last logo.
  • Episodes 9 and 10: 5 flute notes.
  • Rest of the season: Same as the second theme, but lower in pitch.

Availability: Seen on the third season of Friday the 13th: The Series.
