Background

Following Infogrames folding Humongous Entertainment in 2006, they created a new standalone subsidiary called Humongous, Inc. as an IP holder for the Humongous properties. The division soon released ports of Humongous' games with Majesco Entertainment on the Wii (under license from Infogrames/Atari) and later on IOS, being published through Atari.

In 2013, Humongous, Inc. was one of the subsidiaries of Atari to file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection in the United States. The company was soon sold in Atari's IP sale to Tommo, Inc. in July of that year. Since then, the company has remained a subsidiary of Tommo.

1st Logo (2007-2014)

Nicknames: "Humongous Boredom"

Logo: On a white background, we see the words "Humongous" in a modern-like font with an orange circle covering the "H".

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the background is black.
  • Sometimes, there's copyright information below the logo.

FX/SFX: None, at least on DS.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Appears on many titles from Humongous' properties, including the Wii ports of Pajama Sam In: Don't Fear the Dark (originally released as Pajama Sam In: No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside), Spy Fox in Dry Cereal, and Freddi Fish: Kelp Seed Mystery (originally released as Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds), and Backyard Sports titles from 2007 until 2010.

Editor's Note: None.

FX/SFX: None; this is a still logo.

Music/Sounds: None.
