Background

IFC Midnight is a division of IFC Films that makes horror movies.

1st Logo (2010s-2020)

Visuals: On a black background, the 2001 IFC logo appears letter-by-letter. While that happens, a close up of the letters appears for a split second along with a grainy texture background. The word "MIDNIGHT" fades in below the logo. A red line on the right continuously flashes throughout.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A film projector sound along with a 3 note tune that sounds eerie.

Availability: Seen on the division's films of the time, including the 2016 remake of Cabin Fever.

2nd Logo (2020-)

Visuals: Same as the 2020 IFC Films logo, but the entire logo is red. Also, "Films" is replaced with "Midnight". Blood can be seen dripping from the M. At the end of the logo, it jitters.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on current films from the division, such as Hatching.
