Background

ITV America is one of the largest independent producers of non-scripted programming in North America. It was founded as Granada America in 2003, bringing together their subsidiaries Granada Entertainment and Carlton America under one roof.

Granada America

1st Logo (placeholder logo) (2003-2004)

Visuals: On a purple background, the silver word "GRΛNΛDΛ" in a custom 3D semi-serif font zooms in. It settles in the centre of the screen and becomes flat, as a light spot travels through it. "Granada America" appears below.

Trivia: This is basically a modified version of the 2001 Granada Media International logo, except that "Granada America" appears below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Four whooshes, one by one after split seconds, or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: This was used as a placeholder logo. So far, it has been sighted on The Engagement Ring, The Survivor's Club, and Baby for Sale.

2nd Logo (2004-2009)

Visuals: Same as the 2004 Granada logo, except that "America" appears below.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the "America" variant can be still just like the UK counterpart.
  • A print logo exists, which can be found on the NDS game Hell's Kitchen (using a white background).
  • A still version also exists.
  • A B&W variant also exists.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: Same as the 2004 Granada logo.

Availability: Seen on TV movies and some shows from the time-period until 2009.

  • It was also used as a de-facto logo for Granada Entertainment America's shows, such as on Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares and the American adaptation of Eleventh Hour.
  • It can also be found on licensed games, for example Hell's Kitchen for Wii (with the "America" byline).

ITV America

Logo (2020-)

Visuals: Same as the 2020 ITV Studios logo, except that the word "AMERICA" appears in place of the text "STUDIOS".

Variant: Sometimes, the byline "AN ITV STUDIOS COMPANY" appears below the logo.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the 2020 ITV Studios logo.

Availability: Seen at the end of The Prank Pannel.
