Background: Ignition Entertainment is a British video game publisher founded in 2002 by the reunition of various small delevopers and publishers. In 2007, the company was adquired by Indian conglomerate UTV Software Communications (which is owned by Disney). Around the same time, the company opened two branches in Japan and Florida.

1st Logo (2003-2004)

Logo: A thunderstorm happens. One thunderbolt then strikes the surface, causing purple particles to appear, and the words "IGNITION" and "entertainment" to zoom out below. There's some blurring effects on "IGNITION", as it gets attracted by electricity. The electricity then forms the logo, consisting of a picture of thunder on a blue sky. The text moves away, with "for Videogame Redefined" appearing below. The logo disappears as "IGNITION" quickly zooms in slightly.

FX/SFX: The thunder/electricity effects, the blurring text.

Music/Sounds: Just the sounds of thunder and electricity.

Availability: Spotted on their early games including Pool Paradise.

2nd Logo (2005-) Ignition Entertainment (2005)Ignition Entertainment (2008) Logo: On a white or black background, we see a red circle with a thunderbolt inside. Next to it there's "IGNITION" and "entertainment", stacked like the previous logo.

Variants: Before 2007, "for Videogame Redefined" may appear below the logo. An animated variant has two characters with thunderbolts meeting. The Ignition logo, along with the "for Videogame Redefined" tagline, fades in above. After 2007, the UTV byline would appear below the logo. Another animated variant has the parts of the logo fading in and slightly moving. FX/SFX: None, excluding the animated variants.

Music/Sounds: None for most of the versions.

Availability: Still version is most commonly seen on titles for the DS (like Zoo Keeper), PSP and 3DS. 1st animated variant is rare and seen on Animaniacs: The Great Edgar Hunt. 2nd animated variant would be seen on Wii/X360/PS3 titles.
