Ikon FCL
Background
Ikon was the video sublabel of Factory Records (Factory Communications Limited) which was founded in June 1980 to film the label's bands (including some artists who were never on Factory such as The Fall and The Birthday Party, but performed at Factory's nightclub, The Haçienda) for potential broadcasting. They begin to release videos in November 1981. The company became independent in 1989 and was shut down in 1992 at the same year Factory Records did.
(November 1981-1994?)
Logo: On a black background, there is the red neon text "IKON FCL". The latter text is smaller and is below the former. The size and brightness depends on the release.
Variant: Sometimes, the text is superimposed is some shots.
FX/SFX: None.
Music/Sounds: A short guitar tune.
Availability: Extremely rare. Seen on Factory Records releases of concerts.
Editor's Note: The dark environment and shrill-sounding guitar tune can be bound to scare a few younger viewers.
