Background

This was a production company run by Dan Halsted and director Oliver Stone, formed in 1995. Halsted would create Halsted Pictures in 1999, which became Camelot Pictures in 2002, while Stone would continue to manage his own production company Ixtlan Films.

(December 20, 1995-August 18, 1998)

Logo: On a black background, a blue oblong shape, resembling a pair of sunglasses, slides in from the left of the screen. Upon getting to the opposite side, the shape tilts down as the background brightens and the shape gets encased in a blue box. The shape resembles a bird taking off, but also looks like a fruit. Beneath the frame is the word "ILLUSION" in a stylized font.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Silence or the opening/closing theme of the film.

Availability: Appeared at the start of Freeway, the end of Nixon and U-Turn, and the documentary The Last Days of Kennedy and King.
