Imagineer Co., Ltd. was established on January 27, 1986 in Tokyo to develop game software. It achieved success through Japanese distribution of popular Western products, like SimCity and Populous, which became popular on Japanese computers. The company didn't use a logo until 1989.
1st Logo (1989-1992)
Logo: On a black background, we see a gray piece of a ocean with the plane falling. Then it turns to red on the top half and blue on the bottom right. On the right is the text "IMAGINEER" and below it was the slogan "Innovation Through Human Network".
Technique: 2D animation.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen on many Sharp X68000, NEC PC98 and FM Towns games, like Populous, SimCity and Lemmings.
2nd Logo (1992-April 28, 2005)
Logo: On a black or white background, we see a red or a blue circle with an "i" behind it, with a curve over it. Below it has the text "imagineer", without the dots on the "i".
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen on most titles by the company, such as the X68K game of Populous II: Trials of the Olympian Gods, the SFC game of Galaxy Robo, the SGB/GBC games of Medarot series and Elemental Tale, the PS1 game of Medarot R and the GBA games of Medarot Navi and Shingata Medarot. It was last seen on the 2005 GBA game of Relaxuma na Mainichi.
