Background

Ingenious Media (styled as INGENIθUS) is a division of London-based Ingenious Capital Management Limited, also known as Ingenious. The company was founded in 1998 by Patrick McKenna.

1st Logo (April 21, 2005- )

Logo: We start off with a flash, which is shown to be from the letter "θ" in teal and a metallic texture. The rest of the text, "INGENIθUS" in white, wipes in from the left, turns to face the screen, and zooms out while the "θ" is bursting light. Shortly after, the white text fades out and finally the letter "θ" as well.

Variants:

  • An in-credit variant exists where it may be paired with other logos.
  • On Unhinged, the logo is darker and stretched.

FX/SFX: The "θ" bursting list and the logo turning and wiping.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening/ending of the film/TV show.

Availability: Very common. It can be seen on many films and TV shows from the company starting with The Mistress of Spices. Don't expect to see this on other films, such as the infamous Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties.

2nd Logo (November 4, 2016-February 2, 2018)

Logo: Just the print version of the previous logo on a black background.

Variant: On Braven, the logo is slowly zooming in.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Seen on Dog Eat Dog, Bad Santa 2, 2:22, Braven, among others.

3rd Logo (June 1, 2018- )

Logo: On a white background with a faint vignette, a black line is seen being drawn from the right before stopping in the center. The right end of the line shortens and wraps around the line before the rest of the text "INGENIθUS" wipes in, sliding the "θ" to the right. Then, the logo slowly zooms in, gradually speeds up, and finally right into the screen.

FX/SFX: The "θ" drawing itself and the text wiping and zooming in.

Music/Sounds: None or the opening of the movie.

Availability: Used in tandem with the 1st logo. Debuted on Adrift and can be seen on Wayne, The Wedding Guest, and Dream Horse.
