Background

Israel Films (סרטי ישראל), formerly Palestine Films, was an Israeli film production company headed by Zionist filmmaker Norman Lourie. Established in July 1947 in Mandatory Palestine, it was renamed to Israel Films following the establishment of the State of Israel a year later.
