Background

TV Setouchi Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (TSC, callsign JOPH-DTV) signed on October 1, 1985 as the fourth affiliate of the TV Tokyo-run TX Network, serving the Okayama and Kayama prefectures, based in Yamanaichi, in the Kita ward of the city of Okayama.

1st ID (October 1, 1985-March 31, 2004)


Visuals:

  • Startup: On a heavenly sky, there is a prism and on the center of it, is the 1985 TV Setouchi logo as it zooms in. After that a white square appears, changing the footage of several Okayama and Kayama landmarks. After that, the TV Setouchi logo appears again zooming out into the prism.
  • Closedown: On a starry sunset sky, there is a shot of some buildings in Okayama with the 1985 TSC symbol at the bottom, the sky briefly moves before fading to black.

Technique: A mix of live-action footage with superimposed digital animation.

Audio: An arrangement of Setouchi Hymn, performed by Naozumi Yamamoto

2nd ID (Analog, April 1, 2004-July 24, 2011)


Visuals:

  • Startup: On a cyan city background, there is the 2004 TSC symbol, consisting of the words TSC in blue and in italics accompanied by a red wave at the bottom, before fading out to reveal Nana-chan as it pops out, orbiting for a bit while the station information and channel numbers scroll. After that, some text appears telling that TSC's broadcast day is about to start and Nana-chan later waves at the audience. After that, Nana-chan fades out before revealing the 2004 TSC symbol.
  • Closedown: Same as the startup ident, but in reverse and in a starry purple background. The text is also changed to thank the viewers as they conclude their broadcast day before wishing them goodnight.

Technique: Digital traditional animation.

Audio: An upbeat electronic-synth theme accompanied by an announcer.

Audio Variant: On the closedown ident, a gentler piano-arranged version of the theme with violin sounds is used.

Visuals:

  • Startup: There is an animated shot of the city of Okayama. After a few seconds, the 2004 TSC symbol appears before disappearing to reveal Nana-chan, as it pops out to later spin and orbit around. Nana-chan waves at the audience before zooming out to the bottom on a cyan background to reveal the station's digital callsign, and after that, the cities that the station serves as it scrolls down. After that, Nana-chan orbits a rainbow while the words "デジタル 7ch" appear in the colors of the TSC symbol white the city turns into its normal colors with a rainbow above it. After that, the 7ch symbol fades out before text appears to say that TSC's broadcast day is about to start. Then, Nana-chan pops out from the left while the background fades to white. Then, the TSC symbol appears as Nana-chan disappears.
  • Closedown: On a starry purple sky background with a animated shot of the city of Okayama, the 2004 TSC symbol appears. After that, the symbol fades out to reveal Nana-chan as it orbits while the station information scrolls down while text appears that TSC would conclude its broadcast day. During the crawl, Nana-chan yawns for a bit. After that, the words "デジタル 7ch" appear before Nana-chan orbits with a rainbow before an animated shot of Okayama at night appears. Then, the city's shot reverts to its outlined appearance before the TSC symbol appears again.

Technique: Digital traditional animation.

Audio: A rearranged version of the 2nd ident's theme, mainly to accommodate for digital sound formats, alongside some cartoony-style and space-like sound effects accompanied with an announcer.

Audio Variant: On the closedown ident, a rearranged version of the closedown theme from the 2nd ident is used alongside some cartoony-style and space-like sound effects.
