Background

Jack Russell Film Productions was a company founded by producer/director Jack Russell, which his production company was known to produced and directed the instructional kung-fu video series The Kawasoe Way.

Logo (1990)

Visuals: On a white background, we see a black line that forms horizontally across the screen, then a curved wave comes and after halfway through the line. The line transforms into two dogs (Jack Russell terriers, naturally) with their eyes closed, then a semi-circle is formed attached to the line and above the dogs and at the same time as the text "JRFP" in an italic font slides in and the dogs open their eyes. Then the dogs blink before the logo ends.

Closing Variant: Similar to the beginning, except that the dogs are looking straight at the viewer with the left dog winking and surrounding them looks like a drum or a film reel wheel. Along with the copyright on the bottom with the date of it.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A traditional Japanese-like fanfare with some sparkle sound effect added into it.

Availability: Only seen on JKA Shotokan's Karate: The Kawasoe Way series (all vol. 1-4) which was seen on VHS and DVD and was likely their sole production. The series can be seen on YouTube featuring the logo.
