Background

John Doze Studios was a production company ran by Jeff Muncy. It was initially created to commission Flinch Studios to produce animated shorts to promote Muncy's Pet Alien line of toys; initially beginning as a collection of plush toys and a children's book. Pet Alien would receive a series adaptation in 2005, lasting for two seasons. Muncy would go on to produce Pajanimals for The Jim Henson Company before leaving to pursue work in the toy industry.

1st Logo (2000)

Visuals: On a black background there's a green ovular outline containing the text "JOHN DOZE" with "STUDIOS" beneath the oval in an outlined fashion. Both are sandwiched between "A" and "CREATION"

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Was only seen on the early Pet Alien flash shorts. The first of these shorts was made available on Flinch Studios' website at some point.

2nd Logo (January 23, 2005-2009)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a green UFO looking thing coming from the left of the screen spinning around and slides from left and right, then it quickly turns into a black oval with green outlining and the words "JOHN DOZE" appears inside the oval and in green, outside the oval wee see a shadow down below. Then the text underneath reading "STUDIOS" appears one by one and also in back with green outlining just like the oval.

Variants:

  • On Pet Alien, the logo shares the screen with other logos.
  • On German prints of Pet Alien, the logo appears in-credit and appears.
  • A sped-up version exists on Qubo airings of Pet Alien.
  • On Good Night, Pajanimals, the logo covers the entire screen.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Pet Alien and the 2009 DVD of Good Night, Pajanimals.

3rd Logo (October 10, 2011-March 8, 2013)

Visuals: There is the same "JOHN DOZE STUDIOS" logo from the first logo, but now appears in a black background and the word "STUDIOS" is now in white with green flashes outside the word.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The ending theme.

Availability: Only seen on Jim Henson's Pajanimals on Sprout. It is intact on uploads of the series to the official Jim Henson's Family Hub YouTube channel
