Background

Joke Productions is a production company based in Los Angeles independently owned and operated by the wife-and-husband duo of Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina. It specializes in unscripted television and documentary series, among others.

1st Logo (October 20, 2008-April 23, 2017)

Logo: We see a black and white photo of a baby with a funny expression holding a piece of bread on a stool inside a kitchen. The image rapidly zooms out in which a tube mask forms and shrinks. While this is happening, the words "JOKE" (excluding the "O", which fades in as the photo zooms out) are seen on the bottom right of a stone tube with a copy of each letter enlarged. After that, "productions" fades in on the bottom right of the logo.

Technique: The photo zooming out and the text fading in.

Music/Sounds: A click and then a whoosh.

Availability: Seen on Scream Queens (the 2008 MTV series), Snapped: She Made Me Do It, and Three Days to Live.

2nd Logo (March 18, 2018-)

Logo: We see the same logo from before, but with different colors and initially blurry. The image deblurs and then slightly blurs a little bit.

Technique: The blur effect.

Music/Sounds: A burst and then a creaking sound.

Availability: So far, seen on Unmasking a Killer and Unraveled. It is expected to appear on upcoming projects from the company.
