Background

JoyOn was founded as Gamania Korea as a joint venture of the Taiwanese company Gamania in 1999, running from the remnants of the defunct companies Full Soft and Korea Licensing. In 2001, it changed its name to JoyOn, developing several typing tutor games. The company merged with the lottery site Lotototo in 2006, renaming it into JoyToTo and transforming it into an online game portal.
