Background
KLCS first signed on the air on November 5th, 1973. They serve Los Angeles, California and are the 5th most watched Public Television station.
1st (Known) Logo (1975?)
Visuals: Over a real life background (which looks like a school), we see the text "KLCS-50 Serving" on the lower left, and the text "Burroughs Jr High School" on the middle bottom in white (same as the KLCS text before). It is a still logo. It is unknown if it fades out of just cuts into something else.
Technique: None.
Audio: An upbeat piano pop song, with an announcer saying "This is KLCS channel 50 in Los Angeles".
Availability: It is a mid-70s station ID and those rarely survive.
Legacy: It's your standard station ID from the 70s.
2nd (Known) Logo (1990)
Visuals: Over a blue background, the logo starts with the text "KLCS" in a bold silver font and a "58" cutout on a silver segmented bar fade in. There is also a reflection of the logo on the floor. The logo then fades out.
Technique: The logo fading in and out.
Audio: An announcer saying "This is class television of the Los Angeles Unified School District, KLCS 58 Los Angeles".
Availability: Was only used as a station ID.
Legacy: Just your average station ID from the 90s.
