Background

KRCB is a PBS affiliate located in Santa Rosa California.

1st Logo (1992-1994)

Visuals: On the green background there are the animated "KRCB" letters with "SANTA ROSA PRESENTS" fading in.

Technique:

Audio: A 6 note tune by Videospots 4 from the "Parry Music Library".

Availability: Seen at the beginning of KRCB shows.


2nd Logo (2003-2004)

Visuals: On a live-action background, there is a picture of Santa Rosa and the KRCB logo zooming. The text "Santa Rosa" text is bigger.

Variant: There's a blue-cloud background variant.

Technique:

Audio: A piano and 6 note orchestral tune with a timpani hit at the end. This sounds similar to the 2002 Disney Channel jingle.

Availability: At the end of KRCB produced and local shows. [Examples?]

3rd Logo (2004-2007)

Visuals: On a green-bluish background, there is the company's logo in blue (a la 1999 Family Channel Canada logo); with the "SANTA ROSA" text zooming out in red. The URL fades in.

Technique:

Audio: A 7 note synth fanfare which as similar to current WCNY logo jingle.

Music/Sound Variant: A 3 note guitar tune which is similar to 1996 PBS jingle

4th Logo (2007-2013)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is the KRCB logo with the "SANTA ROSA CALIFORNIA" byline.

Technique:

Audio: None.

Availability: Found on "Wai Lana Yoga".


5th Logo (2013-)

Visuals: On a blue background, there is the KRCB logo with the 2009 PBS P-Head logo, and the "NORTHERN BAY PUBLIC MEDIA" byline below it. The URL fades in.

Technique: Fading effects.

Audio: None.

Availability: This is only used as a station ident.

6th Logo (2013-)


Visuals: On a sunrise background, there is the KRCB logo with the PBS symbol and the "NORTHERN BAY PUBLIC MEDIA" text below that.

Variant: In some cases, the logo fades to black over the KRCB logo.

Technique:

Audio: A violin tune.

Availability: Seen at the end of KRCB produced shows. [Examples?]
