KSS was a Japanese company that was formed in 1988, focusing onto post-production, music, subtitles and translation. The company had two divisions, a video game unit, which was operating from 1993 to 2001, and a film division, which prduced anime films. The company was forced into bankruptcy by 2005 and sold its assets to Softgarage.
Logo (May 28, 1993-March 23, 2001)
Visuals: Over a black background, the logo starts with the abstract text "KSS", with the red square on the top of the "K", the yellow square on top and the blue square on bottom of the 1st "S", and then the green square and the brown square on the 2nd "S".
Variants:
- Sometimes, the background is white and the text is black.
- Sometimes, the background is navy blue.
- On the Super Famicom game of Pachinko Monogatari (1993), the logo fades in with a pixelated effect, on a navy blue background.
- On the Super Famicom game of Aoki Densetsu Shoot! (1994), the logo slides up, on a black background.
- On the Super Famicom game of Pachinko Monogatari 2 (1995), the first copy of the logo zooms in, and the second copy of the logo zooms out, on a black background.
- On the Super Famicom games of The Heian Fuuunden (1995) and Casper (1997), the logo stretches in, on a black background.
- On the Game Boy game of Pachinko Monogatari Gaiden (1995), the entire text is black.
