Background
Kideo Video was formed as a joint venture of Karl-Lorimar Home Video, DiC Animation City and LBS Communications to distribute kids and animated videos. This was a second in a line of Lorimar sublabels, following Scholastic-Lorimar Home Video. DiC would later launch its home video label in 1986 with Golden Book Video.
1st Logo (prototype logo) (1985-1986)
Visuals: Over a white background is blue and yellow stripes. Over the side was the words "Kideo Video" in a cursive font, and we see what looks like splotches of confetti shown underneath the stripes.
Technique: Fade animation.
Audio: None.
Availability:
- This is a prototype logo, as it appears on earlier video releases of M.A.S.K..
- It also appears on the 1986 UK VHS release of GoBots from The Video Collection.
2nd Logo (1986-1988?)
