Background

Kinostudio Shqipëria e Re (also known as Shqiperiafilm) was an Albanian film studio established in July 10, 1952 by the First Secretary and ruler of Albania, Enver Hoxha, with support from the Soviet Union. The studio produced an average of thirteen films a year between 1975 and 1990. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the studio was renamed to Albafilm-Tirana. In 1996, Albafilm became the National Center for Cinematography following a government decree.

Logo (August 17, 1958)

Visuals: On a cloudy background, a statue of a golden eagle slowly rotates 45 degrees clockwise, with the spotlight shining on its face. Shortly after, the text "SHQIPERIAFILM" fades in front of the eagle and zooms in towards the screen.

Trivia: The golden eagle represented as a statue is actually the National symbol and animal of Albania, the country this logo originates.

Technique: A mix of live-action model work and traditional animation.

Audio: The opening theme of the film.

Availability: Only known to have appeared on Tana.

1st Logo (November 26, 1984-1989)

Visuals: On a blue-black gradient background, a golden star with a small emblem within it fades in. A bronze colored filmstrip then wraps around the star, with "KINOSTUDIOJA" inscribed on it. "«SHQIPERIA E RE»" in white emerges from behind the star, moves downwards then zooms upwards in a curve (much like a rollercoaster), with a bronze-white gradient trail behind it.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A triumphant fanfare.

Availability: This logo is seen on films from the period such as Militanti, Duaje emrin tënd, Ne prag te jetes, and several others.

2nd Logo (1989-1990)

Visuals: On a black background, a rainbow-colored camera shutter zooms in and opens, revealing a white space within it. From within the white space, two filmstrips, one orange and one black, emerges in the shape of the double-headed eagle. "KINOSTUDIOJA" in small black lettering fades in below, followed by "«SHQIPERIA E RE»" in a three-dimensional gradient orange font fading in underneath.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A drumroll, followed by a dreamy jingle with synthesized chimes.
