Background

KnowWonder, Inc. was an American video game developer based in Kirkland, Washington that developed several video games based on animated films and shows. In 2001, the studio was rebranded as Amaze Entertainment and its departments were split into three sections: the handheld and console departments were renamed Griptonite Games and Adrenium Games respectively, while the PC department retained the KnowWonder name until 2004.

1st Logo (October 1997)

Visuals: On a black background, there's the word "KnowWonder" with "Know" in a blue Times New Roman font and "Wonder" in a purple decorative font. Behind the text, you can see some pink sparkles.

Technique: None.

Audio: A rising fairytale music theme with a reverb.

Availability: Seen on the company's very first game The Totally Techie World of Young Dilbert: Hi-tech Hijinks.

Logo (June 23, 1999-2004)

Visuals: A sparkling gold dot appears on a black screen and draws two arcs together, resembling an oval. Then the spark flies towards the screen and the word "KnowWonder" in a decorative font appears inside the oval. Below is the byline "DIGITAL MEDIAWORKS".

Variant: In 2001, the logo was slightly improved. The name appears already at the start, and the spark creates the new byline "An Amaze Entertainment Studio" below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Originally a humming background with a crystal tune. After 2001, there are three whoosh sounds, each getting louder, accompanied by crystal chimes.

Availability: Seen on licensed cartoon and kids games, such as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Finding Nemo and Shrek 2. This also makes an appearance on the PC version of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events instead of the Adrenium Games logo.
