Background

This is the production company of David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the creators of Will & Grace.

1st Logo (March 21, 1996-May 16, 2002)

Nickname: "Star Streak"

Logo: On a space background, we see the text "KoMut Entertianment" in white, and in the same font used in Will & Grace. Then a star flies from the screen and lands on the "i".

FX/SFX: The star dotting the "i".

Music/Sounds: A falling sound when the star flies, then a sound of someone blowing a raspberry when it dots the "I". The ending theme was also used, NBC used its generic theme on original airings.

Availability: Seen on Boston Common and the first four seasons of Will & Grace.

2nd Logo (September 26, 2002-April 23, 2020)

Nicknames: "Copying Letters", "Merging Text"

Logo: On a black background, we see "Kohan" in light blue and "Mutchnick" in dark blue sliding towards each other. The words are shortened to "KoMut" with "ENTERTAINMENT" in gray underneath.

Variant: On the 2017 revival of Will & Grace, "Kohan" is now in dark blue and "Mutchnick" is now in light blue.

FX/SFX: The copying letters.

Music/Sounds: A comedian tune or the end theme, NBC and CBS airings used a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on Will & Grace (starting with the fifth season), Good Morning, Miami, Twins, Four Kings $#*! My Dad Says, Partners and Clipped.
