Background
LK-TEL Video S.A. formed its Chilean operation in 1987, after Argentina in 1986, but before Brazil later the same year, forming a regional Argentinian video distributor. Much like the Argentinian and Brazilian counterparts, the company mostly distributed product from RCA/Columbia Pictures International Video (later Columbia TriStar Home Video). The company begin splitting off from the Argentinian and Brazilian counterparts in 1990s, making its own distinct identity.
