Background

Landmark Entertainment Group was a television production and syndication company.

1st Logo (September 1, 1987-1991)

Visuals: On a blue background with clouds, we see stars, then a light rain forms the text:

A

LANDMARK

Entertainment
Group

PRODUCTION

"LANDMARK" is shown in an arc in a "Broadway"-style font, "Entertainment Group" in script, and "A" and "PRODUCTION" in a sans serif font. Two lines are shown on the sides of "Group".

Variant: On the pilot of Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, the text "A Co-production of Landmark Entertainment Group and Ventura Pictures Inc." appears in a "wipe" effect instead of the logo.

Technique: Likely cel animation. A wiping effect for the variant.

Audio: An orchestral jingle, which continues over the MTS Entertainment logo.

Availability: Seen on Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future.

2nd Logo (December 22, 1991-1993)

Visuals: On a zooming space background, we see a blue Earth with yellow continents. There are two comets; one hits the Eurasia continent, brightening a lot, while the other one flies behind Earth and comes into view. The second comet hits the screen and explodes with shiny sparkles, revealing the previous logo in a 3D golden color that shines.

Variants: On Timmy's Gift, there's a short version with just the finished product.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation with CGI elements.

Audio: The closing theme of the show.

Availability: Appeared on the 1993 version of Kimba, the White Lion and Timmy's Gift.

3rd Logo (September 17, 1994-April 16, 1996)

Visuals: The camera zooms rapidly to reveal the company's logo in purple, now enclosed in a purple oval. The logo lays in a relief oval and shines. A registered trademark "®" symbol is shown at the low-right corner of "Group".

Variant: On the video game adaptation of Skeleton Warriors, the logo is entirely in gold and appears on the bottom left corner along with the 1st Neversoft Entertainment logo on the top left, the 2nd Playmates Interactive Entertainment logo on the top right, the Tommy Tallarico Studios logo on the bottom right and the game's own logo in the middle. The logos are stretched horizontally.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The closing theme of the show. None for the video game variant.

Availability: Only seen on Skeleton Warriors.

4th Logo (October 10, 1999-April 22, 2000)

Visuals: The Landmark Entertainment Group logo from the first two logos is placed on a space background and shines with a turquoise lighting ray. A light green light appears, first on "LANDMARK" and afterwards on "Entertainment Group".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A proud two-note synth fanfare.

Availability: Appeared on Mega Babies.
