Background
Laser Group Video was a home video distributor that was formed in 1989 as a restructuring of the former video publisher Video Laser, which was dedicated to release films of various genres, TV series pilots, documentaries and video specials, and from the beginnings, it reissued much of the old Video Laser catalog.
Logo (1989-Early 1990s)
Visuals: On a space background, there are two weird grid shapes flying toward the screen (most likely representing the map of Argentina). When the two fly away is the same grid image that zooms and flips toward the background and settles in the center. The two letters "L" and "G", both in gold, flips in and then connect together. The word "ASER" and "ROUP" both flies in, in a golden Broadway font and flips toward the screen and settle next to the letters. Then the golden word "Video flies in and settle toward the bottom right of the logo.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: An excerpt of "Where's the Walrus?" by The Alan Parsons Project. Some releases have "Light of the World" by the same group replace the former.
Availability: Seen on Laser Group Video releases from the era, including reprints of old Video Laser releases.
