Background

Ledafilms was an Argentinian film and distribution company that was founded in 1974 by Pedro Felix Leda. The company once operated a home video distribution arm between the 1980s and the 1990s, but Ledafilms' titles on home video were distributed by Argentina Video Home between 1988 and 1991, before subsequently forming their own arm, Dealer Video, to assume these distribution duties.

1st Logo (1986-1991)

Logo: On a red background, a stylized "L" in a blue-dark blue gradient color, with cut out lines shown from the right side of the "L" slides in from the right and turns over. A segmented line slides in from the "L", which turns over to reveal "LEDAFILMS" in an ITC Avant Garde font, which shines.

Variants:

  • On some tapes, the words "una presentacion" in white appears above the logo.
  • On a tape of Poochie, after the previews end, a still variant is shown.

Technique: Computer animation.

Music/Sounds: An acoustic guitar and synth tune, with a male announcer saying "Ledafilms presenta" or "Es una presentacion Ledafilms."

Music/Sounds Variant: On Robotech, no voiceover is heard.

Availability: Seen on Ledafilms releases in Argentina, such as Transformers, The Man Called Flintstone and The Muppet Movie. From 1988 to 1991, the Argentina Video Home logo preceded the logo.

2nd Logo (1990-1992)

Logo: On a black-blue gradient background, a blue CGI TV tube rotates and flips from the screen and settles in the center. When it stops, blue smoke moves into the logo, which fades into the "L" from the previous logo. As the smoke clears out of the TV tube, the "L" then turns black-blue gradient and then a white outline appears on the "L". The word "LEDAFILMS", in the same font as before, is shown below, starts to spread out, and then stops.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: Same as before.

Availability: Seen on later Ledafilms video releases, in association with Dealer Video, such as Defenders of the Earth.

3rd Logo (September 16, 2004-20??)

Logo: TBA.

Variant: An in-credit version, albeit small, exists.

Technique: CGI.

Music/Sounds: An uprising synth fanfare mixed with a bunch of strings.

Availability: Rare. Only known to be seen on Oro nazi en Argentina and on Peligrosa bsesión.

4th Logo (2022)

TBA.
