Background
Legend Films is a San Diego-based company founded in August 2001. The company specializes in the conversion of feature films, both new release and catalog titles, and commercials from their native 2D format into 3-D film format utilizing proprietary technology and software. The company started business providing restoration and colorization of classic black-and-white films for DVD, HDTV and theatrical release. The company didn't have a logo until 2007.
Logo (November 13, 2007-)
Visuals: On a swirling rainbow background, there is a blue metallic bar with "LEGEND ILMS" in a tall white font inside. In the middle is a film countdown with a fancy black "F" in it. Underneath it is the text "The Leader in Restoration and Colorization Technology".
Variants:
- In later years, the text at the bottom was absent.
- A wide-screen version exists.
Technique: The swirling. [possible misuse]
Audio: A deep, ethereal synth theme with some twinkling.
Availability: First seen at the end of the colorized version on the 2007 DVD reissue of It's a Wonderful Life, and can be seen on other titles from the company.
