Background

Les Distributeurs Français was a film distribution company from France.

1st Logo (November 10, 1937-October 29, 1938)

Visuals: Over a geode-like background with a faint sunray pattern around it, there is a white outline of a winged helmet surrounded by a circular sunburst pattern with a partial chunk of said pattern missing fading at the bottom part of the screen. after a few seconds, a lightly arched, heavily stretched "DISTRIBUTUERS FRANCAIS" with a small "LES" on top wipes in above the said helmet on both ends, which is followed by a small "PRESENTENT" wiping in below the helmet.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: The opening theme of the film.

Availability: Seen on L'affaire du courrier de Lyon and Le ruisseau.

2nd Logo (June 15, 1939)

Visuals: Over a black background, there is a similarly-styled, more realistic drawing of a helmet with wings at each side facing to the left. Behind it is a sunray pattern constantly easing in and out. After that, it crossfades to a 3D, sans-serif, stretched "LES DISTRIBUTUERS FRANCAIS" with "DISTRIBUTEURS" in an arched format.

Technique: Cel animation and fading effects.

Audio: A slow trumpet fanfare and a fast triumphant fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Fric-Frac.
