Background

This is the production company of Steven Levitan. It was formerly known as Steven Levitan Productions.

Steven Levitan Productions

1st Logo (March 4, 1997-January 11, 2006)

Logo: On a black background, we see a boxed live-action scene of a man and the little boy playing together. The man (believed to be the father) suspends the boy up in the air for about two seconds and brings him down and repeats it once again. Below the video, the text reads "Steven Levitan Prods." with "in association with" in white text.

Trivia: The video in the logo likely featured Steven Levitan's father and the young version of Steven himself. Notice that this logo came from an old memory shot on old film.

Variant: On some shows, "in association with" is absent.

Technique: Live-action.

Music/Sounds: A 9-note clarinet tune followed by a child giggling. Original airings use a generic theme, sometimes with an announcer.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • On Oliver Beene, a different 5-note clarinet tune is heard with the same giggling sound, which ends in a guitar strum.
  • On Just Shoot Me, the closing theme of the show plays over it.

Availability: Seen on Just Shoot Me, Stark Raving Mad, Oliver Beene and Stacked.

2nd Logo (September 26, 2012-April 8, 2020)

Logo: On a white background, we see the same scene from the last logo, this time on a reel. The words "STEVEN LEVITAN PRODS." in a tilted angle are next to it.

Technique: Same as the first logo.

Music/Sounds: The sound of a film reel rolling.

Music/Sounds Variant: On LA to Vegas, the closing theme of the show plays over it.

Availability: Seen on Modern Family (starting with the fourth season) and LA to Vegas.

Levitan Productions

(September 20, 2022-)

Logo: On a black background, we see a reworked version of the 1st logo, now in a white border with frames around it. A lens flare comes from the left, forming the company name in a white serif font.

Technique: Same as the last two logos, with the addition of the lens flare.

Music/Sounds: A brief horn sound, followed by a 5-note clarinet tune.

Availability: Brand new. This debuted on Reboot.
