Background

Light & Shadow Production (LSP) was a French video game publisher founded in 1999 by Jean Claude and Olivier Goulon. The company mainly dealt with licensed games.

In February 2004, Hip Interactive purchased the company and rebranded it as their European subsidiary Hip Interactive Europe.


1st Logo (June 2000)

Visuals: On a white background, there's a blue upside-down right triangle with the text "LSp" in a futuristic blue font, covering the whole screen with the triangle inverting the text. Below, the text reads "LIGHT & SHADOW PRODUCTION" in three lines with the copyright info underneath.

Technique: A still, sprite-based graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Toonsylvania for Game Boy Color.


2nd Logo (December 1, 2000-2004)

Visuals: On a white or customized background, there's a purple upside-down right triangle that has the text "LSP" in white with a black outline. Below the letters, there's the stacked text "light&shadow production" in two lines and the copyright info.

Variants:

  • On most games, the URL "www.lspcom.com" would appear below.
    • Starting in 2002, the URL was changed to "www.lspgames.com" and may be placed on the left part of the triangle.
