Background
Lightning Pictures was a sub-label of Vestron Pictures which started with the same purpose of the Lightning Video label and was run by Lawrence Kasanoff.
Logo (June 1987-1989)
Visuals: On a black background, there is a sky blue box made of numerous thin rods and crossed with black lightning. Two words, also sky blue, are seen above and below the box, saying "LIGHTNING" and "PICTURES", respectively.
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: Usually silent.
Availability: Appears on VHS releases of Blood Diner and You Can't Hurry Love. This is intact on VUDU's print of the latter after the 2005 Lionsgate logo. It can be seen on Lightning Video or Vestron Video tapes of film that have the Lightning Pictures on the box. On the DVD of Blood Diner, released part of the Horror Movie Collection - 6 Movie Pack by Lionsgate, both this and the Vestron Pictures logos have been plastered over by the Artisan logo, although the Lightning Pictures logo is seen on the packaging.
