Background

This was the production arm of the BSkyB channel Living, now Sky Witness.

1st Logo (2001-2003)

Logo: On a white background, there is a glass asterisk sign slowly spinning counterclockwise. To the left is the 2001 LivingTV logo with "production for" on top of it. Appearing on top of the LivingTV logo is a co-producer with "A/An" on top of it. On the bottom right is the copyright info, reading "©Flextech Rights Limited (year)" and the website link.

Variant: Original split-screen airings would have the glass asterisk hidden by promos.

Technique: The asterisk spinning.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Rare. Seen on early LivingTV originals such as the first series of Most Haunted, 6ixth Sense with Colin Fry, and Charmed: Behind the Magic.

2nd Logo (2003-2004)

Logo: On a white-light pink background, three bars coloured purple, pink, and hot pink slide up and down, changing sizes while locked on the bottom section of the screen. In the center is the 2001 LivingTV logo with the same copyright and website info positioned underneath, now colored purple. Like last time, the co-producer's logo appears on top of LivingTV's with "for" in between.

Variant: Starting in 2004, the logo was given a byline, consisting of Telewest Broadband's logo and the text "A Telewest Broadband company" underneath.

Technique: The lines moving and expanding.

Music/Sounds: None or the ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Rare, as the channel didn't produce a lot of original programming. Seen on supernatural TV shows such as series 2-4 of Most Haunted, Jane Goldman Investigates, I'm Famous and Frightened, and the pilot to Dead Famous, the latter of which has this logo preserved on on-demand prints.

3rd Logo (2004-2007)

Logo: Now set on a magenta background with a slightly darker shade on top, the 2004 LivingTV logo is positioned on the near center of the screen with its byline, albeit without Telewest's logo, and the copyright and website information. On top of it is the co-producer's logo.

Technique: None.

Music/Sounds: None or the ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Rare. Like before, it was seen on supernatural TV shows such as Most Haunted episodes as well as its spin-off, Most Haunted Live!, most episodes of Dead Famous, and the pilot to Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns.

4th Logo (2007-December 15, 2009)

Logo: The logo is now an in-credit notice where the 2007 logo in teal slowly zooms out with glitter floating around it. On top and underneath it reads "PRODUCTION FOR" and "livingtv.co.uk" respectively.

Variants:

  • An early version consists of the logo in white and is still.
  • On episode 22 of Most Haunted Live!, the top text reads "CO-PRODUCTION FOR".
  • On Dirty Dancing: Time of Your Life, an additional line of text is added underneath, reading "A Granada/Lionsgate Television Co-production for Living".

Technique: The glitter floating and the logo zooming out.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Seen on later series of Most Haunted until series 14, Dirty Dancing: Time of Your Life, the first 5 cycles of Britain's Next Top Model, among a few others. Usually, this logo precedes the Virgin Media Television logo.

5th Logo (2009-2011)

Logo: We see a pink-hued studio set with a light pink briefcase on the bottom right, studio lights on both sides, and brooms lying on the wall within the left section of the screen. In the center is the 2009 Living logo with the text "Production for" on top.

Variants:

  • Usually, it may share the screen with other co-producers.
  • On season 2 of Dating in the Dark, only the 2009 Living logo fades out to reveal a copyright notice reading "©LIVING TV Group Limited".

Technique: None or the logo crossfading to another co-producer.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Rare. This was seen on series 2 of Dating in the Dark, cycle 6 of Britain's Next Top Model, and some Jade Goody documentaries such as Jade Goody: A Year Without Her. Like with the previous logos, this one is saved on streaming prints of aforementioned shows.

Final Note

On February 1, 2011, Living was relaunched as Sky Living. After the rebrand, original programmes used the standard Sky in-credit logo instead of the Sky Living logo.
