Bumper (October 1980-July 1982)
Visuals: Essentially just the orange text "ALSO FROM" above the MGM/CBS Home Video logo on a black background.
Trivia: Whenever this bumper was shown, the previews that followed were for the same three movies: Fame, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and The Wizard of Oz. However, there were exceptions:
- The MGM/CBS releases of Silk Stockings, The Sunshine Boys, Till the Clouds Roll by, Rio Lobo and some copies of The Horse That Played Centerfield all use only the Fame trailer.
- Meet Me in St. Louis excludes the 2001 trailer.
- Ben-Hur and North by Northwest both exclude the Wizard of Oz trailer.
- The actual release of Fame excludes its own trailer.
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: A jazzy, 6-note trumpet theme that sounds rather similar to the 1978 Filmways Television logo.
Availability: Seen on most MGM/CBS Home Video releases, following either of the first two CBS Video logos. Examples include Ben-Hur, North by Northwest, The Horse That Played Centerfield and Fame.
