1st Logo (1998)
Logo: We see a shot of space with the Earth shown below, a starfield and asteroids. We traverse the asteroids quickly before a comet strikes one of them, causing an explosion, bringing up two silver rings and a dark circle near the left. The rings rotate as a bright light passes and changes the background to white, and the rings color to red and blue, respectively, with the circle turning green. There's a shadow behind the logo. "MIPS" and "software" slide in from the right. A copyright disclaimer then blurs in below the logo.
FX/SFX: The animation of the asteroids, the explosion, the rings, the lights and the text.
Music/Sounds: A synthesizer drone with sci-fi whooshes.
Availability: Seen on 8 Yongsin Jeonseol.
