Background
MTV was launched in India under MTV Asia in October 26, 1996 and currently also broadcasts in the areas of Bangladesh and Nepal.
Food for Thought (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, the words "CULTURE" and then "SHOCK" fade in and out with the latter smaller than the former. The screen cuts to a patterned floor where an Indian man is walking towards a yellow bucket full of water. The screen quickly flashes and after several seconds, the man, walking from the top left, places the bucket near the bottom center. The screen flashes again soon after, where a man in a white robe carries the unresponsive body of a hair sheep, places it on the floor and proceeds to cut its throat. The sheep shakes and suffers as blood pours out of its neck spilling all over the floor. Four different sequences of the sheep dying are shown which are followed after the same man in the white robe cleaning his hand while staring at the dying sheep, slowly backing away. Afterwards, another sequence of the sheep writhing in pain, swinging its arms is shown with more blood splattered on the floor. Once the screen flashes afterwards and the sheep is presumably dead, two people come from the left and drag the sheep off the screen to where only its limbs are visible. Flashing again, a man in striped clothing picks up the bucket and pours it all over the pool of blood, crossfading to a white screen where the words "FOOD" and "FOR THOUGHT" appear one-by-one, and lastly the print version of the MTV Asia logo.

Audio: An excerpt of "Saba Atu Rijal" by Adam Rudolph and Hassan Hakmoun. When the MTV Asia logo appears, a sting consisting of a group of men stuttering plays.
Hari Raya (Late 2000's)
Visuals: Over a white background, torso shots of men and women walking are shown on screen, pulling a piece of yellow ribbon out from behind them. The screen cuts to a shot of the people's hands wrapping the yellow ribbon around itself with a cerulean ribbon beside that. The two hands wrap both ribbons and converge through themselves, forming a hand-made woven ribbon ketupat. After the ketupat is made, the hands appear one by one in a circle around the ketupat. The MTV logo forms inside of a white square in the middle of the screen which pulsates while the hands circle around the ketupat.

Audio: A techno theme.
