Background
Mach 1 was a joint venture between United News & Media and Chrysalis Sport, primarily to produce sports programming, most notably the Formula 1 and International Motor Racing coverages for ITV, operated between 1996 and 2000.
(1997-2000)
Logo: On a background showing an extreme close up of a sports car over a wall, we see the black word "mach" in a futuristic font, and next to the word is the red number "1", also in a red futuristic font. Above it was the letter "A" in a Futura font, and below it was the word "PRODUCTION FOR" in the same Futura font, and below that is the then-current ITV logo with a copyright date.
Variants:
- From 1997 to 1998, the 1989-1998 ITV logo is shown below the logo.
- From 1998 to 2000, the 1998-2006 ITV logo is shown below the logo. Sometimes, it was the ITV Sport logo.
FX/SFX: None.
