Background
Macromedia Inc. was formed in 1992 from a merger between Authorware Inc. (makers of Authorware) and MacroMind-Paracomp (makers of Macromind Director). Macromedia's best known products include the Flash, Dreamweaver and Fireworks computer programs. In 2005, Macromedia was acquired by Adobe Systems, Inc. (best known for the Photoshop, Reader/Acrobat, Premiere, After Effects and other products), and all of Macromedia's products are now under the Adobe name.
1st Logo (1992-1997)
Visuals: There is a black diamond with a white capital "M" over a multicolored box. There are the words "MADE WITH" at the top and "MACROMEDIA" at the bottom.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None.
Availability: Seen on early CD-ROM educational games made using Macromedia. It makes an appearance in the end credits of Noddy: The Magic Of Toy Town on a CD-ROM (1996). It might also be seen on Enhanced CDs from the time.
2nd Logo (1997-2005)
Visuals: There is an abstract M consisting of 3 slanted elongated circles forming a //\, inside a rounded purple square. There are the words "made with macromedia" in a lower case font underneath it.
Technique: A still, digital graphic.
Audio: None or the ending theme of the game.
Availability: Seen on many games and Enhanced CDs from the time such as Winnie the Pooh Preschool.
