Background: The Mascot Pictures Corporation was a small movie production company established in 1927 by Nat Levine to produce film serials and B-westerns, merging after with Consolidated Film and Monogram Pictures to form "Republic Pictures" (later known as "Republic Entertainment, Inc.") in 1934.

Nicknames: "That Ripoff of the MGM/Universal Logos", "Tiger '27", "Tiger From Hell"
Logo: On a cloudy background, we see a model of planet Earth, with a tiger on it. Under it, we see the words "MASCOT PICTURES" surrounding the globe. The tiger roars twice (a la Leo the Lion).
FX/SFX: The letters moving. Pretty hi-tech for its time, but it's still cheesy.
Music/Sounds: The tiger roaring.
Availability: Can be seen on Mascot releases from its time. Was restored back in 1988 on the movie The Phantom Empire for TV as a syndication package.
Editor's Note: None.
