Background
The Mega Duck WG-108 (also known as Cougar Boy) is a handheld game console that was developed and manufactured by Hong Kong company Welback Holdings, released in 1993. It was marketed under various different brands worldwide including Creatronic and Videojet. The console was also distributed by Cougar USA across South America, being sold as the "Cougar Boy". Its games were mostly developed by the companies Commin and Sachen.
(1993)
Logo: Over a green screen, the script text "Mega Duck™" is revealed through a vertical split wipe from the center. The text is then hidden by the same split wipe played in reverse.
Technique: 8-bit animation.
Music/Sounds: A happy 8-bit theme when the logo is revealed.
Availability: Very rare, since the Mega Duck (or Cougar Boy) was largely sold around Europe, South America and Asia, and it was not a very popular console.
