Logo description by LARDLOGORETURNS. Logo capture by Eric S.

1st (known) Logo (1984?-19??)

Nicknames: "Metallic Soap Bar", "Cheesy Silver Tape", "Stainless Brick"

Logo: Against a cream colored background, a silver colored, three dimensional VHS-like shape zooms into the bottom center of the screen. The text "METROMEDIA VIDEO" (with connected "ME"s, much like that of it's parent company) stacked on top of each other appears inside of the bar. After a second, a shimmer of light appears on the top left of the bar. The logo remains on screen for a few seconds before fading out.

FX/SFX: The bar zooming in. The text appearing. The light ray appearing.

Music/Sounds: A noise similar to an airplane is heard as the logo zooms in with a spring like sound for the appearance of the text. An arpeggio synth theme is heard throughout the rest of the logo.

Availability: Ultra rare. The only known tape to have used this logo is a Spanish VHS of The Giant Spider Invasion.

Editor's Note: A weird shift of musical tones, along with the lack of animation, kinda seems like not much effort was put into this.
