Background

Midnight Radio was formed in 2006 as "Space Floor" by Going to California writers Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg. Jeff Pinkner later joined the company in 2014, and renamed to its current moniker.

Space Floor

1st Logo (March 15, 2007-March 10, 2008)

Nickname: "The Saturn and the Man"

Logo: On a green background, we see a blue stripe that has a series of horizontal lines on the left and right. Beneath the stripe is a photo of a red Saturn with a yellow ring. We see a silhouette of a man holding a mop bucket cart in it. We can also see two men holding mops on the left and right side of Saturn's ring. Above the top right of Saturn's ring and the stripe, we can see three white stars. Below the Saturn's ring is the words "SPACE FLOOR" in a stylized font with a white outline and a star is between the two words.

Variant: On season 1 of October Road, the logo is smaller and we can see the Mojo Films logo on the bottom.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None, or the closing theme. Original ABC airings used a generic theme and voiceover.

Availability: Rare. It's only seen on October Road.

Music/Sounds: On the U.S. version of Life on Mars, the logo is silent, although on Happy Town and Star-Crossed, a whoosh sound is heard. ABC and The CW airings used a generic theme and a voiceover.

Availability: Seen on the U.S. version of Life on Mars, Happy Town and Star-Crossed.

Logo: On a black background, we see a white words "MIDNIGHT RADIO", and a red lightning is placed between two words.

Variant: On Knightfall, the logo is next to the Island Pictures logo.

Music/Sounds: None or the closing theme. Original CBS airings of Zoo used a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on Zoo, Everything Sucks!, Knightfall, Origin, and High Fidelity.
